| Transfer Credits | Graduate nursing students may transfer a maximum of nine semester hours of equivalent coursework from an ACEN, NLN or CCNE accredited Master of Science in Nursing program to North Park, with approval. Transferred courses must have a grade of “B” or higher and be no more than five years old. The credentials examiner, in consultation with the academic standing committee of the graduate nursing faculty, will ascertain the transferability of a course. |

Laura Reckamp, Assistant Professor of Nursing
Faculty Spotlight: Laura Reckamp
Laura Reckamp transitioned into her current position as assistant professor of nursing with the help of the late Trudy Dewaters, who held the position before her. As a student here, Reckamp counted Dewaters as a mentor. “And now, I’m truly honored and blessed to teach at North Park,” Reckamp said.
Previously, Reckamp has worked as an advanced practice nurse for several major hospital systems, including Northwestern and Endeavor Health. Her nursing background is mainly in emergency nursing and neurology and neurosurgery.
In addition to teaching, Reckamp, a certified stroke nurse, works one day a week at an outpatient stroke clinic and is pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at North Park.
